We all hated the book that Dolly’s name came from but the title of the book was so suiting a name, it stuck. With the number one Akita in the country as her dam and the number one stud dog in the country as her sire, she almost couldn’t help being on anyone’s best seller list…. And what a best seller she’s turning out to be!!! Very much in the style of our kennel, she has a lovely head, tiny ears, the huge stand-off silver-fawn coat, tight, round feet and lovely movement. Coupled with a sweet, slightly silly, slightly mischievous, super bright nature, she has rapidly become one of our favorites.
Dolly started her show career the summer of 2011 and in just handful of shows she only needs majors to finish. In October, she honored us with a very special, very delightful Reserve Winners Bitch at the 2011 Akita Club of America National Specialty under breeder judge Mrs. Terrie Breen. She was such a doll….slightly silly, slightly mischievous and joyous to watch!
